Faith-Aligned Model Portfolio Solutions

We provide model portfolios comprising investment strategies that are aligned with the values of faith-based investors. Advisors can use our model portfolios in client accounts or as the basis for constructing their own approach.

Our research and monitoring covers over 150 faith-based Mutual Funds managed by 20+ product issuers, with a wide range of approaches to integrating faith alignment into their products.

We select a subset of this universe for consideration for inclusion into model portfolios, based on our assessment of key portfolio characteristics and capabilities.

We then thoughtfully apply these into a range of model portfolios, tailored to varying risk levels and taking into account the way that manager approaches overlap with client expectations.

We work with each advisor to adjust our standard model portfolios as required to fit their preferred style and investment approach preferences, while also ensuring that consideration is given to specific ways in which the individual products align with the preferences of the advisor and their clients, particularly with respect to screened stocks and industries.

Our Model Approach

In evaluating individual products for inclusion in model portfolios, we apply our research progress that focuses on key product attributes, including:

  • Investment Philosophy, including style and size biases, as well as their approach to portfolio management.

  • Application of Christian values through screening, engagement, and impact investing.

  • The portfolio management team's experience and expertise.

  • Processes used to implement portfolio changes and manage the product.

  • Current positioning relative to intended strategy positioning.

  • The pricing track record of the portfolio and the strategy.

  • Pricing relative to comparable products.

Portfolio Construction– using the products that we evaluate to be appropriate across both investment quality and faith integration, we construct diversified portfolios designed to manage exposures across different styles and size biases, while understanding that implementation will typically be carried out by third parties managing portfolios in accordance with their own Christian faith-aligned approaches.

Regular Review – we review our models on a quarterly basis and issue updates to advisors with recommendations on positioning adjustments to make in client portfolios. We also undertake additional reviews to tweak portfolios should prevailing market conditions change substantially.

Clear Reporting– we provide monthly performance reporting, alongside quarterly deeper reporting that covers performance, current model positioning, values integration, as well as our reflections on key events for each manager and strategy in the portfolios.
